How is this a free conference call? Is it a limited time offer?
We offer conference calling at no cost to you, and we will never charge you for our standard core service. This is not a limited time offer. The only cost you may incur would be normal long distance, or airtime rates, depending on your telephone service provider. Many people have unlimited long distance, so will never see any kind of charge at all. Participants can use long distance, prepaid calling cards, Voice Over Internet (VOIP) services like Skype.
How do you make money?
1) We receive a very small percentage of your already-billed long-distance charges when dialing into our conference call hubs. You will see no additional charges on your bill for dialing our service.
2) We offer a free core conference call service, knowing that our ease-of-use and high quality will entice a percentage of users to opt for one of our paid add-on services such as ad-free conference call services.
Are there a maximum number of callers per conference?
Yes, 500 callers is the maximum allowed per conference on the standard service. Larger volume users are welcome, and we will happily give you dedicated space on one of our systems to accommodate your needs. Just ask!
Is there a time limit for the length of our conference calls?
No, there is no time limit to any conference, and there is no limit to the number of times you can use the system per month. Your conference dial-in number and conference ID will be active until you decide to cancel service.
I’m looking for totally free toll-free conference calling. Why can’t I find it?
Nobody offers truly free toll-free conference calls. They can’t, really. Toll free calls are paid by the party receiving the call. In the case of conference calls, the conference organizer pays. Can participants access the conference call from outside the United States?
Yes, anyone with a telephone can reach your conference calls. These users will, however, likely be subject to long distance charges from their telephone service provider(s). A Voice Over Internet Phone connection (like Skype) can be very helpful.
Can users enter the conference call at any time?
Yes, participants can enter and leave a conference call at any time with the dial-in number and conference ID.
Do I have the ability to set up recurring, scheduled conference calls?
Yes, your dial-in number and conference ID will remain the same. You will be able to add and delete participants in any conference call from the contacts page (if using web control).
How long does it take to set up a conference call?
Conference calls can be scheduled immediately, in real time. You can have an instant conference call.
Do I have to have an email address to participate in a conference call?
No, the host of the conference call can provide the participants with the dial-in number and conference ID by any means they choose. Set a time as well, and you’ll be ready for your call.
How safe are our email addresses in our web control contact list? Will they be sold or made available to others?
We at No Cost Conference value your privacy, and our relationship with all of our clients. We will never sell or share your email address with anyone. Period.
Do you offer recording of conference calls?
Yes, we provide free recording, access, and downloads* of your recordings for up to 30 days after a call. When you choose to record your call, you will receive a six digit recording ID that will allow you to access your recording by phone, at any time during the 30 days.
*free downloads are available with No Cost Conference with Web Control. Your recordings are stored in .wav format so you can email them to other associates that could not attend your original conference call.
Can we record personal greetings to introduce participants to our conference call?
If you wish to record a personal greeting, please contact us. It requires a certain number of total minutes used, per month, in order to make it financially feasible. It is something we do encourage for larger corporations and other high-volume repeat users.
Why, when I attempt to enter my conference ID, the system indicates the code is invalid?
Please make sure you are entering the correct conference ID, and enter it slowly. This issue is most often due to user error. If this does not solve your issue, or you have another question about your conference ID, you can email us.
